Borderline personality disorder is a pervasive mental health disorder which affects the way we think and feel about ourselves and is associated with chronic pattern of unstable mood and significant mood fluctuations, poor self image and often erratic behaviours.  Individuals with this disorder usually see themselves as ‘not good enough’ and this often causes them to become involved in abusive relationships because they feel that they do not deserve any better.  The unstable mood is often associated with substance abuse, unstable relationships, fractured employment, conflicts with family and friends, and generally unsatisfying frustrated life experience in which the individual feels that despite their best efforts they are constantly fighting against the tide.

Borderline personality disorder is most effectlvely treated by DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) which is run at MediBrain by qualified DBT therapist Irena Grigoryan.
